Meeting God

II.  The woman with the issue of blood met the Son of God and found Him able.

     Mark 5:25-34; Romans 5:1-2

III. The fallen woman met the Son of God and was forgiven.

      Luke 7:36-50

IV.  Doubting Thomas met the Son of God and was received back.

      John 20:24-29

Questions:

1. How can religion get in the way of a true meeting with God?

2. What do we learn about God from the life of the Son of God?

3. What words come to your mind when you think of Jesus Christ?

4. Have you ever trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior?

5. What does ti mean to be saved?

6. Can you identify with Gadara? The woman with the issue of blood? The fallen woman? Doubting Thomas? If so, how?

I. The disobedience was more devastating than the disappointment.

   Deuteronomy 1:26; John 15:1-5

II. The children suffered the collateral consequence.

    Numbers 14:33; 

III. They measured the giants to the grasshopper, instead of measuring the giants to God.

     Numbers 13:32-33; Numbers 14:6-9; Joshua 2:9-11

IV. Instead of faith, they chose fear. Instead of winning, they wandered.

     Hebrews 3:16-19; Joshua 1:9-11

Questions:

1. Are we guilty of disobedience when it comes to our personal growth in the Christian life?

2. Who is affected by our choice to either grow in the Lord or to stay stagnant?

3. Do we find ourselves making excuses instead of trusting in the LORD?

4. In what areas in your life do you need to choose faith over fear?
